This was my first time reading a romantic comedy. It made me laugh in little places throughout and cry. It was a very FUN book to read. I just couldn’t put it down. (Gladys in Orlando, FL)
I just got through reading your book.... I loved it. It had me in tears and totally wrapped up. Just wanted to give you a thumb up and a job well done. You are a wonderful writer. (Jeannie in Taylorsville, UT)
Just finished Zucchini. Great lines in there! They would be crazy not to have you as their modern voice of Mormon women's fiction! (Kathleen in Sandy, UT)
I absolutely loved it! I decided to start it right before bed and stayed up a few hours later than planned reading it and had finished it by the next evening. I have been searching for a witty book that would excite me and this did it. I really loved the gospel principles involved and have thought often on the things that John teaches Lori and realize how much they've taught me as well. I can't wait for more! (Katie in Salt Lake City, UT)
I wanted to THANK YOU for such a great book. I just finished it this week and found myself wanting to pick it up every time I had a spare minute. I actually was walking into work the other day and thought of "Lori & John" as if they were my friends, and quickly had to remind myself that it was "just a story!" That is always a good sign to me, though, when I feel like the characters became my friends. So, great work! (Chrislyn in Salt Lake City, UT)
I just finished reading your book, and the best way I can put this to tell you how great it is is this: …I cared about the characters from the first...they became real people to me. The thing is, I don't read romance novels; not my genre of choice. But this is more than a romance novel. It has substance. I kept forgetting these people were characters in a book; they seemed like people I knew and liked. (Marie in Sandy, UT)
No matter if you love or hate zucchini, you'll be delighted with this romp. I totally laughed out loud in many places. I look forward to Heather's many romantic comedies. She's a keeper. (Teri in Utah)
How to Stuff a Wild Zucchini is a sweet, cozy LDS romance that warms the heart and tickles the funny bone… A fun read! (Lana in Cedar City, UT)
How To Stuff a Wild Zucchini manages to combine humor that is funny, poignant and utterly romantic. There are many warm, sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking scenes in this book. I care about these characters. I laughed, sighed and chuckled my way through this book and these great feelings lasted a long time after I'd finished the story. The garden guru, zucchini, and family scenes are wonderful additions to the romance. I love this story!! DianeRoy, UT This is one of the best romance books I've read in a long time! It's got gardening, culture, and LDS faith throughout - a great read! (Calamity From the Internet)
I really enjoyed this book! It was heart-warming, funny, and just plain fun! You definitely grow to love the characters, and I can't think of a better book to take along to the beach, or camping for a relaxing good time! EvelynFrom the Internet After taking a college Lit. class, and being thoroughly disappointed in the integrity of the books that I was required to read, I was thrilled to find this lighthearted, witty, touching story. It is SO refreshing to read a great book and not have to worry about the content being offensive! Heather is a talented writer and I can't wait to read more of her work!! AngelaFrom the Internet I enjoyed this book. It has some deeper themes but is not too heavy due the wit and likableness of the characters. Makes me [want] to throw a dart at a map and have an adventure (hopefully with less zucchini-Yuk!). (Maria From the Internet)
Really enjoyed this book. Couldn't really imagine what it would be like but it is delightful, witty, and fun. A great light read with an upbeat on life. There's disappointment, frustration, humor, love, fun, laughs, and romance. Need a book to fill your quiet & relaxing time with a few laughs? This is it! Oh, and the recipe at the end sounds pretty good too. (Roberta From the Internet)
I really enjoyed this book. It was humorous, fairly predictable but well written. It drew me in from page one and I really could not put it down! To be honest, I was expecting less because I am not a fan of LDS romance type books. My mother recommended this book to me, and said I would not be disappointed. And I wasn't. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. Read it for yourself and find out. I recommend this to those in search of a good read and look forward to more from Heather Horrocks. (Ana From the Internet)
I loved becoming a part of the lives of Lori and John Wayne Walker. I enjoyed the humor, and the romance. I also appreciated that they both had trials to overcome and they were able to overcome them with the help of their Heavenly Father and family. I grew up in Utah and it was fun having familiar places and events unique to Utah mentioned in the book. I look forward to other novels from Heather. (Joyce From the Internet)
Heather Horrocks is very funny and entertaining. I felt like I was reading my own story. I am a convert to the church and was told at an early age that I would never be able to have children. No, this has nothing to do with wild zucchini, so you will just need to read this book to see how it all relates. (Cheryl From the Internet)
I enjoyed this little love story! Great quick read and I enjoyed the references to Brigham City, Logan, and Lagoon. You don't get to read about these places very often - so it was fun. Also, a great zucchini recipe! HeatherFrom the Internet I was very entertained by this new book. I found myself caught up in the story, and really didn't want it to end. I felt that I wanted to know more about the families in the story. They seemed so real and so much like families I know. The writing was expressive and intriguing to follow (and sometimes very funny, which I loved). And the dialogue between the characters left a warm and uplifting feeling. I am looking forward to another book by this author. I recommended [it] to a friend of mine who grew up in Brigham City, and she read it, and loved it. She called it delightful. (Lynn in Roosevelt, UT)
The world is full of depressing and unfortunate news, so I was looking for something to lift my spirits and this book was it. After I read the first few chapters, the ending seemed predictable, but the journey was full of surprising twists and turns. It is absolutely a romance, but the out loud laughter it evoked and the genuine tears I cried, made it an excellent story for me. It was full of fun and stirrings of the heart. I recommend this book to anyone that just wants to feel good when they are finished. Kudos to Heather Horrocks for her wonderful wit and insight into the human heart. I can't wait until her next book! (Kathy in Ogden, UT)
As I looked at the title I wondered what a wild zuchini could possibly be. Now I know. This was a fun book and there were times I related with the characters. I have recommended it to several of my friends. (Dorothy From the Internet)
A wonderful feel-good romance. I loved this heartwarming romance and recommend it to everyone. The characters are charming and the struggles they have to overcome their problems and to draw closer to each other and the Lord are inspiring. Definitely pick up a copy. (From the Internet)

I just finished reading How To Stuff A Wild Zucchini. A lady in my ward bought your book and let me borrow it since she knows I love to read (and write) romance. I live in Brigham, and I loved how you described the fictional city...so close to the real Brigham. Your book was a pleasant read, and gave me that 'feel-good' feeling I enjoy while reading romances. I even teared up in one of the scenes, too. Gotta love that! (Marie in Brigham City, UT)
